Learning Disability England is looking for 6 members who want to join the Representative Body.
We are looking for 2 self-advocate representatives who have a learning disability, 2 family and friends representatives and 2 organisational representatives.
You will represent the members.
We are looking for people who want to join us in helping Learning Disability England to do its job well.
The most important things are for everyone who is involved to agree to and support:
• Learning Disability England’s aims and values
• Working in partnership to make decisions in partnership with the Trustee Board who have the legal responsibilities
What does the Representative Body do?
Representative Body members make sure Learning Disability England’s work is what our members say is most important.
Representative Body members make sure the way we do our work includes everyone.
That means you will listen to what our members say is important
Then you will talk about this at the Representative Body meetings.
And you will tell the members what was talked about at the meetings. You will tell them what was decided.
