We need to join together to respond to the Social Care Task Force report

Video blog (VLOG) from Gary Bourlet, Membership and Engagement lead and self advocate.

Gary’s latest VLOG is all about the Social Care Task Force report and the Advisory Group recommendations.

And the work Learning Disability England members are doing to support the Advisory Group’s recommendations by bringing more people together to create a louder voice.

It comes as Learning Disability England also publishes the Family Voices work, bringing together family voices and what families have said they need in order to stay strong during the pandemic.

The Advisory Group have said that people with learning disabilities and autistic people are not included in the taskforce recommendations.

They say there must be action to make sure people with learning disabilities and autistic people get the support they need during Coronavirus.

You can find out more about that here, including the Taskforce report and the Advisory Group recommendations.

Learning Disability England is currently surveying members to find out what you think.

Please add your voice by taking this short survey here.

The survey closes at 5pm on Tuesday 6 October.
