Go back to training and support
The REACH Standards are a set of voluntary standards about good support for living.
The REACH Practical Guide encourages people to be curious and find out what a good, ordinary life means for each person they support.
This means listening to people and learning what is important to them. It means using what we learn to help people choose where they live and what support they want. People should not have to fit into services or systems that have already been designed for them.
Using the Reach standards mean starting with the person and what matters to them not with an already existing system or service.
The REACH Standards also remind us that everyone has human rights. We all have a responsibility to respect and protect these rights.
The REACH Standards are valued by housing and support providers, commissioners and regulators across the UK.
