Welfare Reform Green Paper: Taking Action Together

In March, A green paper called ‘Pathways to Work: Reforming Benefits and Support to Get Britain Working’ was published by the government.

This proposes some changes to the disability benefits PIP, Universal Credit and ESA and lots of members are feeling worried about these.

Many people and organisations are working hard to share the impact of the suggested changes to the welfare system, so the government understands what is good or bad about them.

Below are are some of the things people and organisations are doing so far, we will keep sharing actions and campaigns as people tell us:

Department for Work and Pensions (government) – Easy Read Green Paper

Mencap – Easy Read on changes to benefits

Disabled People’s Manifesto – The Benefits Green Paper Explained

United Response – Easy Read Information about the changes
