The UK COVID inquiry has published its report on social care.
This is the area of the COVID Inquiry that’s heard the most about the experiences of people with learning disabilities, their families and the organisations that support them.

Whilst the UK Covid Inquiry has been working, so has How We Survive and Thrive.
This is a Commission led by and centring people with learning disabilities and their families.
The Commission has developed its own recommendations on what needs to change so people can live a good life during a pandemic.

Last week the Commission shared its easy read report ahead of its full report and learning events in November.

Members of How We Survive and Thrive response to the Inquires latest report:

Professor Richard Hastings (University of Birmingham) and Professor Chris Hatton (Manchester Metropolitan University) shared data and evidence with the Inquiry as expert witnesses.
