The staff team at Learning Disability England

We have changed the jobs and how we work together in Learning Disability England to make sure we are doing what our members want us to do. That change is nearly finished now.

We have started our new roles and are recruiting for 2 new people to join the team.

Gary and Rachel are both Membership and Engagement leads. Their jobs are to make sure Learning Disability England is working with members, partners, and the wider community helping them to
• represent themselves and their ideas
• create and run campaigns
• learn from each other
• share their best and most effective ways of working

Gary also has a lead role as spokesperson as part of us making sure people with learning disabilities are supported to speak up and represent themselves.

Do contact Gary or Rachael if you want to find out more about our current work or talk about membership.

Both of them work part time for Learning Disability England so might not be available every day but will get back to you soon.

Gary is looking for a new Personal Assistant to work with him as his PA Bridget has a new job with Learning Disability England.

Bridget is now the Office Manager. She manages all the day to day finance and admin for Learning Disability England. She is the best person to contact with general questions or any help with events or bookings.

We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to join the team and work with Bridget in the office.

Sam is the Chief Executive. Her job is to lead and support the staff team making sure Learning Disability England is doing the work the Representative Body and Trustees decide it should on behalf of our members.

We were sorry to lose Kaliya and Mariana through these changes. They both made important and valuable contributions to LDE in its early years.

We also have 4 new Trustees. Debbie, Jan, Jodie and Paula joined the board in April. You can find out about them here
